Seaside

One of the cool things about Seaside that really distinguishes it from other communities along 30A is its town square. It has a little grocery store, book store, record shop, art galleries, boutiques, eclectic home goods, and a row of vintage Airstreams selling an assortment of beach eats.

From the biggest mansion to the smallest cottage, all the homes in Seaside are tied together by pastel coastal colors and white picket fences. The town is also criss-crossed by attractive footpaths and adjacent to WaterColor's nature trails, making it extra walkable.

Summer Snapshots

Almost all my photos are taken with an iPhone camera, but I have been mixing it up lately with my new digital camera. These three photos were taken on a recent vacation with my Kodak PIXPRO FZ55, and no filters have been applied. The first two were taken in downtown Port St. Joe, and the third one in Cape San Blas.

I can't put my finger on it, but they just have a different vibe than iPhone photos. Part of me wants to switch over permanently, but I'm not ready yet. For now I'll continue taking pictures with both. Hope you enjoyed these.

Heron

We went for a walk this evening in and around Rosemary Beach, and not only was the shelling excellent, there was a beautiful heron wading in the Gulf.

I also tried to take a nice photo of this little Old Florida concrete block beach bungalow to honor its memory before it gets torn down and replaced with another beachside megamansion. There are only a few of these gems left in Inlet Beach!

Photos taken with my Kodak PIXPRO FZ55.

Sea Captain

In Seaside there is a gorgeous lavender house on 30A with a fun little detail...

A statue of a sea captain wearing a yellow raincoat, looking out towards the water.

The first two photos I took today with my Kodak PIXPRO FZ55. The third one I took with my iPhone last year.

Orange A-Frame

When I first laid eyes on this beautiful orange A-Frame beach house a few years ago with the full moon rising behind it, it was love at first sight.

As the months went by, I kind of turned into half a stalker, swinging by whenever I was in the area just to take a quick look. This next photo is available on Pixels.

Here is my most recent photo taken earlier this month with my Kodak PIXPRO FZ55, no filter.

This home was built in 1973. I love the Old Florida vibe and hope it is preserved for years to come!
