Summer in Chicagoland is hot, but the water in Lake Michigan doesn’t really warm up until late July and August.

Here are a couple snapshots taken over 10 years ago at Tower Road Beach.

We took the Metra up to Winnetka from the city for a day trip of sunshine and relaxation.
